Decorating issue???
Hi everyone. I need help decorating my living room…I have tan and olive colored couch, tan curtains, green pillows, one green accent wall, white floor, wood coffee table..what on earth color should my rug be?? Tan or green or something else altogether???! Ten points shall be granted!
If you stay with those colors you’re using an analogous color palette. All the colors are similar (close together on the color wheel). If you use something complimentary, you’re using an opposite color and will punch up the look. You seem to like to stay pretty close to a similar group, but that sounds like it’s boring you. I’d go for a rug that has some warm colors in it; like oranges, peaches maybe also add some light, cool aqua. Put some color chips together at a home center paint area using the colors you now have and add some others to see what appeals to you. You can’t make a mistake as far as what is “supposed” to go with what. If you like it, use it. Enjoy!
