Do vegetarians eat fish or any other types of seafood?

I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat fish or any other types of seafood. Someone told me that vegetarians can eat fish but I don’t think they can. Can somebody help me, do they or don’t they eat fish/seafood?

There are different types of vegetarians,

A pescatarian is someone who abstains from eating all meat and animal flesh except for seafood, so this is what you are describing.

Lacto Ovo Vegetarians are people who do not eat beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish or animal flesh of any kind, but do eat eggs and dairy products.

Lacto Vegetarian – vegetarian who does not eat eggs, but does eat dairy products.

Ovo Vegetarian – refers to people who do not eat meat or dairy products but do eat eggs.

Vegan – doesn’t eat meat of any kind and also do not eat eggs, dairy products, or processed foods containing these or anything else that comes from an animal in any form, such as gelatin.
