
Essential fish oils for people who have shellfish allergies?
I have a shellfish allergy, and I have heard of the benfits for your skin to take fish oils, especially cod liver oil, etc. Is it possible for someone with a shellfish allergy to take these supplements, do they have any traces of shellfish in them?
They probably do have traces of shellfish, if they were processed in the same plant. There are non-animal sources for all of the nutrients in those oils. Flax oil is a great Omega 3 source, for example.
