how to add a google meta tag to the header tag?
where is the header tag, exactly where and how do i verify my site with the meta tag google gave me to use for verification
I found the tag in view source but how do I add the google code? I’m with 1and1.
I found where my code is, I think, but can’t see”verify-v1″ in it…..

Go to the HTML code of your website (I don’t know what web authoring software you use but you can see your code by right clicking on your website and then View Source in IE)
The header metatag is at the very top
As in the above example I gave you, you put the Google webmaster tool verification code in between the and codes.

It consists of syntax equations resembling Backus normal form and into which instructions to output assembly language commands are inserted.
