How did the news of brownies, the cakes, spread around the world/country? And how did it start?
The origin of brownies helps.
Brownies were originated in the kitchen of the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago in the 1800s. Mrs. Potter Palmer (wife of a wealthy Chicago industrialist and owner of the hotel) wanted a little cake that would travel well (a picnic, I believe) and set the chefs on a quest to create a portable, delicious, chocolate cake. The brownie was invented. I’m sure word spread through Mrs. Potter’s high-society friends.
