Can someone give me the Ingredient recipe for Sangria drink? (puertorricans)?
I have to make a recipe booklet for an event. I need to write the “Sangria” recipe on the booklet.
Hi, there are as many recipes for sangria as there are for things like tomato sauce or chili. However, here are a few of my favorites; I hope this helps:
Traditional Spanish Sangria
Ingredients:
-Red Wine 750ml bottle
-1/3 cup of Orange Juice
-1/2 cup of Brandy
-2 cups of chilled Soda Water
-Sliced apples, oranges, limes and other fruit
Instructions: -Combine the wine with the orange juice, brandy and fruit. Refrigerate for at least an hour or two. -Add chilled soda water right before serving.

Here is a simple recipe:
Mexican Sangria
It’s interesting because, unlike most sangrias, it can be served instantly without sitting overnight. Also, the notes say that it’s slightly less alcoholic than the Spanish original.
Ingredients
4 cups dry red table wine
2/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 lines or 1 apple, sliced, to serve
Half fill a large jug with ice cubes. Pour in the wine and the orange and lime juices.
Add the sugar and stir well until it has dissolved. Pour into tumblers and float the lime or apple slices on top.
Serve at once.
NOTE: Caster sugar is a very fine sugar, although not as powdery as confectioner’s sugar. It’s used in drinks because it dissolves easily. If you only have normal sugar, grind it up a bit in your food processor.

1 bottle red wine – Rioja, or other substitute
1 liter soda water
3oz Cognac
1/4 cup sugar
1 apple, in chunks
1 orange, in wedges
10 cherries
Mix all ingredients together, and chill overnight. The next day, pour over ice in a pitcher and serve!

Basic Spanish Sangria
Basic Sangria Recipe
Sangria is the perfect summer drink. It’s a mix of red wine and hard liquor. Think of it as fruit punch for the adults 
1 bottle Rioja or other red wine
shotglass of lime juice
2 shots Bacardi
Random fruit as desired
This is about as easy as it gets for Sangria. Customize it with things YOU like! Mix all ingredients together and chill in the fridge overnight. The next morning, toss in some ice cubes and serve!

White Sangria
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
6 short cinnamon sticks
1 bottle white wine – Spanish/French is best,
dry in any case (i.e. not an oaky Chardonnay!)
1 cup sparkling water
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup orange juice
2 oranges, in wedges
10 cherries
2 apples, in chunks
This recipe requires a bit of preparation! Heat the water, sugar, and cinammon sticks until they’re simmering for 5 minutes, then cool back down to room temperature. Pull out the sticks, and mix in all remaining ingredients. Chill overnight. Pour over ice the next day, and enjoy!

Here is a great one for a large summer party
This makes a huge amount of Sangria
4 bottles Cabernet Sauvignon, warm
1 bottle White Zinfandel, warm
3/4 quart orange juice
2 small cans pineapple juice
1 can Sprite
1/4 cup Grand Marnier
3 oranges, wheeled
3 limes, quartered
6 strawberries, halved
Let the ingredients sit warm in a vat for 2 hours. Then refrigerate overnight. When serving, pour over ice and add fresh fruit.

Here is another good basic one:
INGREDIENTS:
1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Shot brandy
2 Cups ginger ale or club soda
PREPARATION:
Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon and orange into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and add sugar and brandy. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale or club soda just before serving.
If you’d like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice.
Addition ideas: sliced strawberries, peaches, handful of fresh blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, a shot or two of gin, brandy or rum, a cup of ginger ale, citrus soda pop or lime juice.

Sangria is based on the traditional red wine punch popular across europe for hundreds of years. The punch base would be claret, i.e. Bordeaux wine from France. Brandy and fruit would be added to the punch for flavor. In the 1700s and 1800s, Claret Cup Punch could be found at parties of all sizes.
Every restaurant has its own sangria recipe – typically a mix of wine, brandy and fresh fruits, served over ice. It’s one of the most individualistic drinks on the market. Don’t just buy a mix at the store – have fun and create your own! Sangria’s appeal is all about taking your favorite red wine, your favorite fruits, and experimenting with them.
Sangria is a red wine punch, although it can also be made with white wine – it is then known as ‘Sangria Blanco’. Sangria was originally created in Spain with Rioja and other Spanish reds. Soon, however, the Cava-producing area adopted a sparkling white version. In the south of Spain Sangria is called zurra, and is created with peach or nectarine.
Sangria is typically created from red wine, fruit juices, soda water, fruit and sometimes brandy. When making your own Sangria, use a good quality red wine, and be sure to let it chill overnight. Use Rioja to get the authentic Spanish flavor, but definitely choose something you like – you’re the one drinking it! In the morning, pour into a pitcher full of ice cubes, garnish with fresh fruit, and enjoy.
