How does beta gamma sigma compare to phi beta kappa?
BGS is the business school honor society. Neither are a fraternity or sorority.
One is well-known within the business world, the other has a stronger reputation in the community at large.
And while I’m not sure about Beta Gamma, Phi Beta Kappa is nationally recognized as the first fraternity founded in the United States. While it is now better known as an honor society, it still recognizes itself as a technical “fraternity”.

It was originally established as a social organization for Japanese and Japanese American women at USC, and has since come to consist of a diverse membership with backgrounds in all Asian countries and all racial backgrounds. In its early beginnings, the founding mothers of Sigma Phi Omega were invited by Chi Alpha Delta, an AsianAmerican sorority from UCLA, to become one of their chapters. Chi Alpha Delta had been chartered in 1928 at UCLA, but was rendered inactive between 1942 and 1945 because the majority of its members were unable to attend UCLA due to World War II.
