How Can I Get Into The Christmas Spirit?
When I was younger I used to get soooo excited for Christmas but I slowly lost that feeling every year. And last year it didn’t even feel like Christmas at all. Now I am 12 years old and I want to get excited about Christmas and get into the Christmas spirit, but how?
Wow, 12 and the thrill is gone? Sorry, I don’t mean to make fun of you, but I’m sorry to hear that you feel that way so young.
Well, maybe it will come as you get closer to time. Sometimes, especially in a year with the economy down, I don’t know if that is hurting you directly or not, it’s harder to get in the mood. But it’s two weeks away, you might change your mind.
Also, there are some people who actually get depressed around the holidays. Sometimes it is adults with money problems, or people who have relatives they don’t get to see, or they miss loved ones who have died or something. But depression can hit at any age, so that is possible if you don’t feel better closer to Christmas.
And remember, little kids do get a lot more excited, Santa Claus and all that. It is not unusual for adults or even teenagers to be a little less excited than little kids. It is part of growing up.
